Accounting Clerk

Job #4639 – Our client in the nonprofit industry is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to assist them with their year-end and audit on a short-term contract. With the possibility of extension into early fall, the chosen candidate will assist with various transactions and entries as well as ensuring all data is accurate in QuickBooks. A collaborative team player will do well in this environment! Main responsibilities include:

• Prepare contracts and ensure financial data is accurate in accounting system
• Prepare adjusting entries
• Assist in processing financial statements
• Prepare cheques, EFT’s, bank transfers and credit card transactions and post to accounting system
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Address vendor inquiries and reconcile any discrepancies
• Assist with projects and audits as needed

Qualifications

Mandatory:

The main qualifications for this role include:

• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance
• Minimum 2+ years in an accounting related role
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) is considered an asset

How You Will be Rewarded:

• $24-$30/per hour
• Flexible hybrid work schedule- 1 day in office!
