PCRE Group is a dynamic, privately held real estate developer in British Columbia, Alberta, and Washington State. While PCRE Group has been actively developing commercial, retail, and residential real estate since 2003, its principals have been leaders in the industry for over 35 years. Historically a merchant builder, PCRE Group has recently expanded its scope to also include the developing and holding of income producing properties and an extensive pipeline of projects in various stages of development.
Along with a project pipeline that includes sites on the Sunshine Coast and in Squamish, PCRE is developing a seaside 250+ acre master planned community called Royal Bay on Vancouver Island. This mixed-use, master-planned community will be home to over 7,000 residents and numerous businesses, with the build out of up to 2,800 homes, as well as service retail, business, restaurants and cafes, open spaces and parks, trail connections, and other public amenities.
As PCRE begins its next phase of growth and continues to build on the success of Royal Bay, it is actively looking to acquire new development land on Vancouver Island and in the Lower Mainland.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Vice President of Development and working closely with the entire team, the Development Manager will take ownership of both residential and mixed-use projects across the PCRE platform.
As Development Manager you will be responsible for: Communication with design consultants and construction professionals; Coordination of project budgets and schedules; Liaising with municipalities in negotiations and the approvals process; Assisting with project legal matters; Delivery of proposals and presentations for stakeholders; Drawing and specification review, coordination, and submission; Staying informed on market trends, innovations, and municipal policy; assisting in the due diligence and pursuit of new development or partnership opportunities.
What Sets You Apart
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ real estate experience in multi-family or mixed-use projects with exposure to feasibility, project management, design and construction. This candidate is driven, has a passion for real estate, wants to be involved in the real estate community and is looking to grow their career. Related work experience with a solid understanding of municipal entitlement policies and processes to help secure all regulatory approvals including rezoning, development and building permits, as required. Ability to read and understand plans and specifications. Experience in preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Ability to collaborate in a team environment with poise and humility. Patience and creativity in your approach to complex challenges. Professional written and verbal communication skills. An education in Real Estate, Commerce, Urban Land Economics, Architecture, Planning or Engineering is desired.
