Job Description:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
• Inspect kitchens and food service area
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Manage kitchen operations
• Ensure quality of food
• Work with minimal supervision
• Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.)
• Wash dishes

Requirements:

Education:  Completion of secondary school is required.

Experience:  A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks.  Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Salary: $20 hourly, 40 hours per week.

Benefits:  Uniforms, meals are included during working hours.

Important Information:

Position requires flexibility in scheduling, possible overtime might be required (evenings, weekends and holidays). Workers will work 8 hour shifts between 9:00am and 10:00 pm. 1 day off is set on a rotational basis.
