Job description

We are looking for a Director to manage our seven warehouses across Montreal and Laval. We're looking for someone with at least 10 years' supply chain experience in a high-volume environment.

As Warehouse Director, you will play a strategic role in managing operations and ensuring the execution of continuous improvement initiatives for all our warehouses in the city. You will be responsible for operational oversight across the warehouses, defining the key results to be targeted and the strategy to achieve these results. The Director will need to engage the right leaders to activate the strategies. The Director will lead a team of managers and guide them in day-to-day operations and optimization initiatives.

Monday to Friday daytime, but must expect to work overtime.

Salary, depending on experience, starting at 165k.

Responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager will, among other things:

- Manage warehouse operations to ensure nationwide service;
- Manage the budget to maximize operational efficiency and minimize costs;
- Identify opportunities for expansion and improvement in the execution of operations;
- Develop plans that provide appropriate, cost-effective solutions to support business growth;
- Supervise direct and indirect subordinates of the warehouse team;
- Lead change and transformation initiatives through positive management practices that will ensure team member adoption and commitment;
- Develop and improve the use of systems and tools to increase productivity, streamline processes and achieve operational performance targets;
- Monitor and drive key end-to-end metrics performance to ensure departmental alignment and performance achievement;
- Analyze and explain complex data and statistics and find solutions when discrepancies, errors or problems are detected;
- Create key strategic and tactical plans, key performance measures and dashboards to drive aligned performance for the supply chain team;
- Define objectives and projects that will optimize the performance of supply chain operations;
- Support strategic and tactical decision making regarding the supply chain network;
- Work with stakeholders to perform root cause analysis and facilitate sustainable corrective actions for operational and systems issues.

Qualifications
Skills expected of an excellent Warehouse Director:

- University degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, administration or related field;
- Minimum 10 years of supply chain leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment;;
- Excellent understanding of supply chain concepts within a network;
- Unsurpassed ability to analyze complex data;
- Ability to manage large budgets;
- Experience in developing strategic growth plans;
- Bilingual English-French;
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems;
- Ability to communicate with different levels and departments;
- Good interpersonal and mentoring skills.
- Must have a car for easy mobility.
