Summary: Join GFL's dynamic Operational Sales Team as a crucial member dedicated to expanding client relationships and solidifying our market presence. Your primary responsibility involves selling Industrial Cleaning, Chemical Cleaning, Daylighting and Dredging services to new businesses across diverse sectors, including Energy, Infrastructure, Food processing, Chemical processing, Tank & Vessel Manufacturing, Municipalities, and more. This role is tailor-made for sales professionals who excel in uncovering and leveraging new opportunities. Job Duties: Proactively pursue business development opportunities with new and existing clients leveraging the organizations' current assets. Conduct thorough customer needs analyses, presenting effective solutions leveraging our diverse service offerings. Uphold a consistently professional representation of the company, seizing every opportunity to enhance brand visibility. Ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction, serving as a bridge between clients and operational staff. Provide valuable market intelligence on competitors and pricing strategies. Develop/assist in creating strategic business plans to achieve and exceed business development targets. Flexibility for travel within the region is essential, with a 70/30 split (travel and schedule primarily determined by the hire). Maintain an up-to-date customer directory. Requirements: Demonstrated business development experience in a competitive and challenging sector. Experience in waste management, particularly with more significant complex industrial sites requiring multiple industry services, is considered an asset. An existing book of business is considered an asset. Post Secondary Education is considered an asset. Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Motivation to achieve and exceed set objectives. Resilience and determination to overcome rejection and challenges. A passion for business excellence coupled with exceptional follow-through. The drive to hunt for new business. Strong negotiation and collaboration skills; drive decision-making and facilitate a one-team approach. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
