Job description
Our client, a boutique pubic accounting firm located in Markham, is currently seeking an experienced and professional Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. This candidate is expected to demonstrate hand on knowledge in Accounting and Compilation standards and Taxation.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Prepare compilation (Notice to Reader) files
- Prepare and complete working papers for reviews in an independent manner
- Prepare personal (T1), trust (T3) and corporate (T2) income tax returns
- Utilizing accounting knowledge to provide advice to clients on various matters as required
- Billing, budgeting and billing reconciliations as required
- Assisting with CRA audits and queries and liaising with CRA on assessments and appeals
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in public practice with CFE pass
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in an efficient manner
- Collaborative and proactive team player
- Good working knowledge of Caseware and Taxprep.
- Perform any other related duties
