Job description


Position Overview:  
The successful candidate will join SAMAs Assessment Services Division (ASD) as an Administrative Assistant in this permanent, full-time position.  Reporting to the Executive Assistant of the Assessment Services Division, the incumbent will perform various administrative duties and data entry. Typical responsibilities will include:
Handle incoming and outgoing courier packages and other mail correspondence.
Perform typing, filing, and scanning of business-specific documentation.
Provide customer support for enquiries regarding SAMAs online assessment portal and property profile requests.
Perform administrative support for various committees and projects.
Enter data into the Agency's computer system.
Act as primary liaison for visitors.
Receive and direct phone inquiries.
Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualification and Skills:
High School Diploma although preference may be given to post-secondary education.
One (1) year administrative-related experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Strong skills with Microsoft Office and its software
Proficient keyboarding/data entry skills.
Good communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.

Both a cover letter and resume will be used in the screening process.  A numeracy, mathematical, computer proficiency, or other assessment may be administered to determine candidate suitability.
