Job Purpose

Serving three core markets - passenger vehicles, commercial trucks and off-highway equipment - Dana provides global original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing and distribution facilities.

POSITION AND MISSION:

As a Performance Test Technician , you will be responsible for the operation of a dynamometer test cell. This includes mechanically setting up the bench, commissioning the test cell, running tests and writing test reports. You will be involved in the execution of a variety of test scopes, including engineering, software, performance and functional testing. You will play an active role in the validation of Dana TM4 electric motor systems for tomorrow's electric vehicles (EVs).

Dana TM4 is looking for Performance Test Technicians to fill several positions on a :

- Evenings; Monday to Thursday, 2:00 pm to midnight

- Weekends; Friday to Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Carry out validation tests on electric drive systems such as electric motors, inverters, battery chargers and vehicle controllers.

- Prepare test bench setups including fixtures, installation of equipment under test and installation of instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and torquemeters.

- Carry out tests in accordance with the test plan.

- Write test reports to illustrate results

- Identify and find technical solutions to problems encountered during testing.

- Keep technical documentation up to date

- Maintain 5S on the test bench

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS :

- AEC in electric vehicle or Diplôme d'Études Collégiale (DEC) in electricity and/or electronics

- 2 to 5 years' relevant work experience as an electronics technician or machine operator

- Essential: knowledge of laboratory equipment: oscilloscope, multimeter, accelerometer, etc.

- Self-motivated and resourceful

- Proactive, committed and solution-oriented

- Team player

- Functional English
