What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role, you will maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database; conduct field asset data collection, develop maintenance plans, analyze and research maintenance practices, procedures and implement findings; conduct research and evaluations into emerging technologies, equipment and maintenance methodologies; provide ongoing support and advice to staff on asset and maintenance management issues
How do I qualify?
Licensing Requirements
- Valid Class G driver's license.
Knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of asset and maintenance management principles and best practices including but not limited to: Preventive Maintenance Optimization, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Maintenance Task Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Total Productive Maintenance, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, etc.
- Advanced technical knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and certification related to the functional/plant areas of work in water and wastewater maintenance operations and administration.
- Demonstrated knowledge in business process mapping, policy and procedure development, and continuous improvement/optimization.
- Good working knowledge of Agency, regulatory and legislative acts, codes, policies, guidelines and procedures related to water/wastewater maintenance, operations, and health and safety.
- Working knowledge of policies, standards and methods, environmental impact issues, water quality assurance techniques.
- Knowledge and interpretative understanding of environmental legislation (OWRA, EPA, EAA, EBR).
- Extensive knowledge of project management principles/practices.
Knowledge of CMMS, WMS and PC software, and Enterprise Applications.
Skills and Ability include
- Excellent oral and written skills to liaise with colleagues, vendors and clients and prepare reports.
- Presentation skills to facilitate group meetings and develop and execute formal presentations.
- Skills in the evaluation of business results to improve business performance and make recommendations.
- Problem solving and analytical skills to provide technical guidance and resolve day-to-day technical issues.
Planning and organizational skills to lead projects.
