The City of Mississauga has an opportunity for a Digital Coordinator to join our Digital Team. Reporting to the Supervisor of Web Content and Operations in the Digital Strategy and Experience team, the successful applicant will work collaboratively to create, edit, and publish user-focused content to the City’s official website. You will help maintain user experience guidelines and accessibility standards and help City staff meet the needs of residents by providing advice and creative solutions. This is not a marketing-focused position.

The Digital Strategy and Experience team (DSX) is on a mission to make Mississauga.ca simpler, clearer and faster for residents, visitors and businesses. We’re all about focusing on people, designing with evidence, and measuring our results. You’ll work with a wide range of people including subject matter experts, content designers, product owners, and UX designers to help us produce world-class results.
About You
As a Digital Coordinator you are a motivated team player who has a passion for web content. You are detail-oriented and organized with diverse skills that can be applied to improving web content.
You’ll need to:
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate the activation of new online content, and schedule removal of old pages
• Organize and publish online content, and maintain corporate standards and procedures related to web writing, content management, and style guides
• Circulate content for approval, and ensure it adheres to standards
• Create analytics reports and analyze user data as required to assist in customer-centric decision making, and measuring web content performance
• Support digital staff in user testing for content and layout to recommend ongoing user experience improvements
• Assist in collecting and defining requirements for digital products based on user feedback
• Collect and provide data and analytics to help address quality content and user experience
• Create and adhere to work back schedules, coordinate stakeholder meetings, create accurate agendas and minutes for key meetings
• Liaise with internal and external resources for content scheduling, approvals, copy and graphical assets, product requests, edits, translations, etc.
• Support digital publisher training and the development of standard operating procedures
• Provide support as required for existing programs and digital channels including websites and emails
• Perform other duties as assigned
Hourly Rate/Salary: $36.13 - $48.17 (Based on salary grade D $ 65,753 - $ 87,671)
Hours of Work: 35 per week
