Reporting to the Operations Manager, the
Yard Coordinator will play an important role in managing and coordinating activities within the construction yard and site operations.
Responsibilities - Maintain an orderly and clean yard
- Delegate tasks to yard staff, under the direction of the Operations Manager
- Manage material inventory, prepare and submit weekly inventory reports
- Assist drivers, ensuring proper load securement prior to trucks/trailers leaving the yard
- Ensure trucks/trailers are clean and fueled by driver upon return to yard at end of shift
- Maintain stock of necessary trucking equipment
- Prepare materials for job packages as required, working with warehouse staff to create complete packages
- Receiver of yard deliveries, including verifying order/delivery accuracy, tagging materials, and submitting packing slips to purchasing
- Tagging and Storing of Special Order Materials
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - 2+ years’ experience working within a Yard Leadership or Inventory Management role
- Post-secondary education an asset
- Strong commitment and ability to working within team environment
- Excellent leadership skillset with ability to delegate and organize work assignments
- Class G Driver’s License required
- Must be able to work in various outdoor/variable weather situations
