Job description
Our client, a respected construction company in the GTA area, is seeking a Site Superintendent with expertise in managing construction sites. The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring safety and quality, and maintaining efficient project progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction site management and a proven track record of project success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage on-site construction activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to stay on schedule.
- Interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Foster clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce project site policies and procedures.
- Oversee the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Manage the on-site workforce and ensure efficient labor allocation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction site management, with a proven track record of overseeing diverse projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent on construction projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- OSHA certification is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities for on-site challenges.
- Detail-oriented and committed to safety and quality.
- Strong organizational skills for site logistics and scheduling.
