Logistics/Administration Support Specialist
Our client, a seller of stainless steel products worldwide is currently searching for a Logistics & Administration Support Specialist to join their team in Mississauga. This is not a remote opportunity. Must live local to the GTA
Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordinating domestic and international shipments, including arranging transportation, tracking shipments, and communicating with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import documentation, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support inventory management activities, including stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
- Provide administrative support to the logistics team, including data entry, filing, and organizing documentation.
- Assist with procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, processing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding logistics, shipments, and administrative matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and warehouse personnel, to ensure smooth coordination of logistics and administrative processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in all logistics and administrative activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is an asset.
- Previous experience in logistics coordination, administrative support, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of logistics processes, shipping regulations, and customs procedures is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing logistical and administrative challenges.
