Job Summary
Now, if you were to come on board as one of our District Accountants, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Prepare national billing, analysis, month-end accrual, and reconciliation.
- Provide accounting and financial analysis support to management and operation units, including P&L review for month-end close.
- Ensure unit managers understand and fulfill financial terms and obligations of client contracts and adhere to accounting principles.
- Manage financial queries from operations and management, providing timely and accurate information to clients and senior management.
- Assist with acquisition integration and perform other assigned accounting duties.
- Prepare balance sheet analysis and manage deferred/prepaid schedules.
- Ensure new contract setups adhere to internal controls and company policies.
- Review client reporting/invoices promptly and accurately.
- Address queries from internal/external auditors and clients.
- Document workflows and generate process improvement plans.
- Take accountability and provide actionable remedies.
- Organize and lead meetings, collaborating with various departmental partners to meet tight deadlines.

- College diploma in Accounting or equivalent with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Three years’ experience in a computerized accounting environment (JD Edwards experience preferred).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, team player capable of contributing to a very busy accounting department.
- Demonstrate strong intuition and problem-solving skills, confidently making accurate decisions.
- Bilingual (asset)
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and can quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes.
- Able to balance team and individual responsibilities.
- Able to work in a fast-pace environment with strict deadlines.
