Responsibilities
Responsible for the RF engineering design and system performance of wireless network.
Responsible for Radio systems design and performance for GSM/UMTS/LTE/NR technology
Apply propagation theory, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory to select cell site placement, antenna height, site configuration, tilt and power to maximize coverage, capacity and performance of the network.
Generate RND with site specific parameters and perform site acceptance including parameter verification and KPI monitoring
Use network performance tool to analyze network stats and pinpoint performance issues of wireless network
Understand In-building design and optimization
Analyze network statistics, identify performance issue in network

Respond to customer request on wireless network design and performance
Training of new and existing staff.
Work effectively with equipment and service vendors and provide executive level professional presentations of engineering results and recommendations

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in wireless telecom industry
Strong background on radio network design on 3G, 4G and 5G network
Good knowledge of network KPI and parameter (Ericsson OSS preferred)
University Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer)
Professional Engineering designation preferred
Radio wireless network design and RF engineering project lead
Strong understanding and experience working on GSM/UMTS/HSPA/LTE/NR
Good technical understanding of TDMA, WCDMA and OFDMA air interface protocols
Excellent understanding of radio propagation principles for wireless spectrum.
Good theoretical understanding of Tx/Rx Radio and Antenna system design
Worked proficiently with Planet RF Planning tool (or equivalent)
Understanding of RF radiation safety and Canada SC6 standard
Excellent communicator – fluent in English, both written and verbal
Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel (VBA) et Access, Python automation, SQL is asset
Proficient in MapInfo
Full drivers license
