Job description


Available Position: Customer Service Team Member

The experienced candidate will report directly to the Manager of Customer Service. As a dedicated member of our customer care team, you will be responsible for front-line interaction with our homeowners, helping carry out Tarion Warranty form inspections and PDI Inspections, managing trade and service appointments to resolve warranty issues, and other operational tasks in our successful service department.
Warranty Service Representative’s Responsibilities Include:
• Working with specific site construction team to prepare for and carry out Pre-delivery Inspections using our software program
• Scheduling warranty form and PDI deficiency repairs with our trades and handyman ensuring that all deficiencies are repaired within Tarion’s governing timelines
• Issue all trade work orders using our customer service software (Training Provided)
• Obtain all sign offs for completed service and file electronically in Lot Files
• Follow up with homeowners to ensure satisfaction with completed repairs and other matters
• Answer incoming calls and emails and respond in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Liaison with Décor center and construction team members when conflicts arise
• Managing homeowner requests by ensuring appropriate service-oriented verbal, written, and electronic communications with detailed follow-up to customers, trades, and various head office departments.
• Offer support and solutions to our customers in accordance with company’s customer service policies
• Manage conciliation requests from start to finish
• Keep accurate calendar using outlook of scheduled repairs and Tarion repair deadlines.
• Keep tracking records for deficiency completions and produce necessary reports at monthly status meetings with your manager
• Perform general administrative duties as assigned by your manager. ( letter composition, file management, case file preparation…etc.)
• Many other duties may be assigned by your manager and other managers that relate to your specific sites as required to meet overall team success.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in low rise residential construction
• Knowledge of Builderlynx Software is an asset (Training will be provided)
• Knowledge of Tarion Warranty coverages and Tarion’s Construction Performance Guidelines
• Must have Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Valid Drivers license and reliable transportation is essential
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook…etc.
• Strong project management and analytical skills
• Ability to show initiative and be proactive
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced construction environment with minimal direction

Compensation:
Competitive Compensation package will be based on experience – starting from $60k to $75K
