Senior User Experience (UX) Designer (contract)
Location: Canada (remote)
Duration: 3-6+ months

Description

Our client, in the mortgage services industry, is seeking a Senior User Experience (UX) Design consultant with extensive UX design/research experience to help build a UX strategy, governance, standards and a UX practice. This is a 3-6 month contract engagement and candidates can be located anywhere across Canada. As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will share best practices, design trends and will help to create a UX Guild. Candidates should have experience reviewing existing portals to provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coach and provide oversight/growth for MCAP’s existing UX Design team.
• Build a UX strategy, governance, standards and UX practice at MCAP.
• Review our existing portals in detail and provide a recommendation on improving UX (perhaps these overlaps with the UX Strategy) but we need to raise what improvements we can do.
• Share design trends and formulate a UX Guild.
• Conduct research and provide metrics for web analytics - what should they be monitoring?

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in UX design, human-computer interaction, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience building a UX strategy, governance and UX practice.
• Portfolio of UX projects that demonstrate your skills and expertise in various UX methods and tools.
• Experience creating a UX Guild.
• Strong knowledge of UX principles, best practices, and trends.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Passion for learning and sharing your knowledge and skills with others.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
