Job description
We are looking for carpenters with the CCQ card, for the construction of residential, commercial and industrial buildings on the South Shore of Montreal.
Under the responsibility of the operations director, the carpenter-joiner carries out formwork work, placing concrete and removing formwork with a work team. He pays particular attention to health and safety on the site, the quality of the work and customer service. In addition, upon request, he will perform any other related task that may fall under this job.
- Install formwork panels on construction sites.
- Case the soles in compliance with the standards presented at the start of the season.
- Install the formwork panels starting in the same direction as the other employees.
- Ensure that the concrete forms are solid and well installed.
- Check measurements and squareness before forming.
- Make sure to put 6-foot support trays on the jogging tracks.
- Be sure to “bar” the nails after installing the first 3 panels.
- Validate, on the three panels, that they are level.
- Pour the concrete into the formwork.
- Pull the casting line using a laser.
- Oil the panels adequately.
- Be attentive to flowing concrete.
- Vibrate the foundations.
- Make sure the concrete is level.
- Unpack the panels and load them into the cages.
- Be sure to properly store the “lousse” before unpacking.
- Make sure to clean the panels and documents.
- Be sure to properly store the panels when loading the cages.
- Ensure that the safety chains are closed on the cages.
- Follow the security procedures provided by the CNESST.
- Make sure to wear your personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Ensures that work equipment is safe.
- Make sure to report events or situations that could be dangerous for himself and his team.
- Send the completed documents and reports to the administration.
- Complete your timesheet every day via the web application.
- Fill out the mandatory CNESST reports in the event of an accident.
