Potable Water & Septic Drivers - TEMPORARY

Job description

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for Class 1 or 3 Driver/Operators to join their safety conscious team on our Fort Hills site! You will be responsible for operating and driving various units such as Potable Water & Septic Trucks.

Please note this is a temporary position, approximately 6 months of work.

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Drives, operates, and stages units.
• Performs pre and post trip inspections.
• Assist with job site preparation and staging equipment.
• Maintains and updates driver’s logbook.
• Communicates with dispatchers and supervisors throughout the day;
• Performs roadside repairs.

• Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License required with 18 speed manual transmission experience;
• Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certificates (will be required to provide proof prior to first day and site arrival). Training can be arranged;
• Minimum of one (1) year previous Oilsands or industrial experience;
• Experience with potable and septic trucks would be an asset;
• Experience with a Hose Reel/Sewer Flusher would be an asset;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, both day and night shift;
• Experience in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions.
