Position Summary
Interior Health is hiring a Pharmacy Student to join the RIH Pharmacy department. This position is based out of Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC and will be available from May 2024 to August 2024.

Who are we looking for?
A student who is enrolled in an Entry-to-Practice Doctor of Pharmacy program from a recognized Canadian University. The position is available for a four month term
over summer (or break in rotations for the student). The student will complete a series of small projects, some may be assigned, and some may be selected by the student.
The goal is that the Pharmacy Services team will receive assistance to complete objectives, while the student receives practical training and experience.
What will you work on?
• Works with the Professional Practice Leader or delegate to complete a series of projects. These projects may be either assigned or the student may select from a
list.
• The student will be required to interact with other Pharmacy Services staff throughout IH.
• The student may be assigned to shadow Pharmacy Professionals in order to complete a specific assignment, and to broaden the student’s knowledge.

Education, Training and Experience
Currently enrolled in an Entry-to-Practice Doctor of Pharmacy Program from a recognized University program.
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to plan, self-manage, and implement assigned tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• Applies the problem solving process demonstrating critical thinking, decision-making skills, and systems analysis.
• Ability to utilize equipment/computer technology.
o Database programming experience an asset.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
