About the Role
CASA Mental Health’s Clinical Pathways team helps to expand the reach of CASA’s services across Alberta through exploration and collaboration with community partners. The team ensures patients and their families receive the correct level of care when they need it. They do this by acting as one source of transparent, timely support, creating efficiencies for clinicians and physicians when their patients are ready to move up or down the treatment continuum.
The Manager, Pathways will:
- Engage with mental health organizations across the province to identify and collect existing child and adolescent mental health pathways (both clinical and navigational).
- Lead teams of internal and external collaborators in the development of pathways.
- Maintain a database of all collected pathways and their sources.
- Develop recommendations for new pathways to address gap areas.
- Liaise with the Grant Project Manager to provide updates on progress, and connect with other CASA departments as appropriate.
- Provide the CASA Classrooms Clinical Zone Managers with partner information to identify aftercare and transition services.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals and support staff to develop learning plans.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and termination of program-specific employees in partnership with the Human Resources team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field (e.g. a health or process-related profession).
- A minimum of five years of experience working in mental health or a health-related field.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in information gathering, process mapping and team leadership.
- Previous experience building and sustaining internal and external partnerships.
- Understanding of knowledge processes mapping, including pathway development.
- Current registration in good standing with a professional college identified under the Health Professions Act.
- Valid driver’s license and access to transportation is required.
Conditions of Employment
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or exemption on the basis of a protected legal ground.
- Ability to pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification (training provided by CASA), as well as physical ability to perform all interventions.
