Job description


Position Overview:  
The successful candidate will join SAMAs Assessment Services Division in this full-time permanent position and can expect to be working in both a field and office environment. Typical responsibilities of an Appraisal Agrologist will include:
Collecting property assessment information through physical inspections of residential, commercial and agricultural land;
Applying recognized valuation approaches to determine the assessed value of the properties;
Inputting valuation data into the Agency's mass appraisal computer system;
Researching and responding to enquiries from ratepayers and municipal administration.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan or other recognized university with a major in Soil Sciences, Agronomy, or Agricultural Economics.
Registered or eligible for registration as an Articling Agrologist or Professional Agrologist with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA).
Excellent public relations and communication skills.
Ability to exercise good judgment to make sound decisions.
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
Valid class five (5) drivers licence.
