Duties:
The Drafting and Permit Technician reports to the Regional Design Engineer/Senior Regional Design Technologist/Regional Planning Technologist and performs responsible technical and engineering related work responding to public inquires and requests resulting in the preparation of permit applications and site plans. Site visits are required for each permit application.

The Drafting and Permit Technician also works in a specialized technical environment and performs various drafting duties, produces engineering drawings for the design and construction of highway projects, while adhering to department standards, policies and procedures.
