Job description

Biscuits Leclerc Brockville plant is looking for Utilities Technician.  The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate technical skills maintaining utility equipment including boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, chillers, pumps and valves (including RVs), and water systems.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.

Ensure the preventative maintenance program is developed and followed.

Develop checklists, inspection plans and SOPs as applicable to the work.

Develop, communicate and Implement maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guidelines to support consistency and efficiency.

Supervise all equipment rebuilds, develop specifications, implement tracking methods and monitor quality control

Troubleshooting issues and correcting where applicable

Operating power equipment like:

Offer technical expertise and direction on all breakdowns when required

Routine checks and monitoring, pressures temps, flows

Utilizing PLC’s and analog controls

Follow safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, guarding, etc)

Lead the development of maintenance programs and work schedules as required

Analyzes and records operational documentation and metrics

Fosters a culture of continuous improvement

Adheres to all regulatory and company standards

Requirements:

5+ years experience in maintenance and utilities/facilities operation

Operating Engineer 3rd or 4th class or technical associate degree

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, repair skills for water and steam

Experience in the use of computerized systems and good computer skills

Good interpersonal skills, demonstrates initiative, team player, results oriented, self-motivated, and good planning and organizing skills.

Must be flexible to respond to on call and emergency repairs as required outside of the normal shift coverage.
