Position Summary
May Bennett Community Health Centre, located in Kelowna, B.C., has an immediate permanent, part-time (0.60 FTE) Clinical Exercise Physiologist opening.

This position is based in the Pulmonary Rehab Program. A Clinical Exercise Physiologist plays a crucial part in assisting participants to attain recommended mobility, fitness, and lifestyle goals by providing mobilization support, education and counseling. Operating within a multi-disciplinary team approach, the Clinical Exercise Physiologist works under the clinical supervision of a regulated healthcare professional on the team. The Clinical Exercise Physiologist makes a substantial contribution to reviewing care plans, recommending activation plans and conducting/supervising exercise and mobility sessions for clients requiring activity-based treatment interventions.
Orientation includes dedicated time for online learning of Interior Health processes, 1:1 time with the practice lead, job shadowing of all team members and other orientation or experiential opportunities identified by the employee.

Qualfications
• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or Exercise Sciences from a recognized program.
• Certification as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with either the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
