WAGES

$17.65/hour for 35-40 hours a week. Overtime will be paid after 40 hours in a week.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Permanent, Full time, Part Time, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend
• Availability to work in a variety of shifts and at the weekends

SPECIFIC SKILLS

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes or foods as per company menu(s)
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs
• Oversee and manage kitchen operations
• Supervise and schedule kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food and other supplies
• Make sure kitchen and work area is clean and sanitised at all the times as per company policy
• Assist in training of the new staff
• Perform other duties as requested by the management team

EDUCATION

Secondary school education is preferred

EXPERIENCE

1-2 years of experience working in a kitchen environment as a cook
OR
Completion of college or other program in cooking

LANGUAGES

English

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Read instructions about operating appliances and equipment
• Interpret Occupational Health & Safety hazard symbols
• Check off items and quantities on delivery checklists
