Education Level: Minimum Grade 12 diploma and related Certificate of Qualification (447A) or two or three year Instrumentation & Control College Diploma

Location(s): Darlington

Shifts(s): Shift Work (rotating days/nights)

Travel: Some- As required within Durham Region

JOB OVERVIEW

 

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Electricical and Control Technician.

 

In a TERM employee role at OPG, you will be supporting the Darlington Maintenance organizations up until 2026. As a condition of employment, you will be required to become a member of the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers (CUSW). You will receive an attractive wage in accordance with the OPG – PWU collective agreement and a pension and benefit package through CUSW.

 

Following your TERM position, as a member of CUSW, you will have access to long-term employment opportunities, attractive wages, benefits, and pension in accordance with the CUSW collective agreement while working with OPG, or one of its vendor partners, on future projects in Nuclear and Renewable Generation, including Small Modular Reactors and Pickering Safe Storage.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

An Instrumentation and Control Technician installs, maintains, calibrates, designs and troubleshoots networking systems, process control and environmental protection equipment in a variety of industrial environments. Specifically, an Instrumentation and Control Technician:
