Herbert Smith Centre for Technology Management and Entrepreneurship (TME) is the technology innovation and entrepreneurship hub located within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of New Brunswick {UNB), Canada. A recent Industry Canada report ranked UNB number one in Teaching and Learning, among all Canadian higher education institutions that support entrepreneurship education, and in, 2014, Startup Canada recognized UNB with the Most Entrepreneurial Post -Secondary Institution of the Year award.
WHAT WE OFFER

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Salary Range: $47,270 - $59,087 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the JHSC Chair, the Program Coordinator focuses on student engagement and a wide variety of planning events, competitions and conferences.
- Aid in the Coordination and planning of JHSC Programs.
- Oversee the general JHSC/TME inbox. Respond to student inquires and applications submitted for the DTME.
- Recruit students to JHSC programs and provide information sessions and in-class presentations.
- Meet with students and advise on core and elective courses that fit with their academic calendar and degree.
- Approve DTME applications and communicate the outcome with students.
- Give SOAR (Spring Orientation, Advising, and Registration) presentations and present to first year students.
- Coordinate various student competitions - Communicate with sponsors, guest speakers, student participants and judges.
- Maintain the list of DTME graduation list.
- Oversee the tasks of the teaching assistants in relation to event planning.
- Coordinate JHSC annual Future of Innovation Conference. Create the agenda, arrange the venue, catering, guest speakers.
- Work with internal staff to assist with marketing events and communications.
- Assist in the identification and promotion of partner activities.
- Assist in collecting and sharing program success stories.
- Schedule the JHSC lunch and learn Series and activities that can provide students with program information.
- Create and maintain JHSC calendar featuring all events from each program to share with the public.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Post-Secondary Education in Business, Marketing, or Related Fields.
- 3 - 5 years of coordination experience, student recruitment, and advising.
- 1 - 3 years of marketing experience, presenting to diverse audiences, and event planning.
Additional Strengths
- Experience with social media platforms.
- Knowledge and experience with multiple on-line platforms, systems, and programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
