Job Location: Etobicoke, ON
Job Overview:
The Business Development Representative will report the to Business Development Manager for Eastern Canada. You will be responsible for hunting new business by cold calling, emailing and in person introductions. Your focus will be building new relationships, following up on leads and continuous networking. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for building budgets and proposal writing. This includes communicating with multiple internal teams to ensure our proposals are tailored to our clients
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hunt new business via phone, email and in person visits
- Follow-up on current leads as needed to build relationships and generate new business inquiries
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and opportunities.
- Attend networking events and industry tradeshows
- Conduct presentations with prospective clients
- Work with our proposal team in the creation and delivery of our RFP (Request for Proposal) responses
- Set strategic objectives and develop sales solutions with the support of the Manager of Business Development
- Provide a “client first” level of customer service in order to contribute to customer retention and market expansion
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Updating Salesforce daily to ensure your territory is accurate and organized
- Meet business development objectives and weekly/monthly/yearly quotas for revenue/prospects
- Other duties as required
Skills Required:
- Strong track record working with a team
- Proficiency with Excel, Word and Adobe.
- Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce
- Proven sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intrinsic ability to effectively analyze, plan, prioritize, negotiate, and execute business strategies
- Proven success working as a team
Education & Experience:
- Post-secondary diploma, degree, or equivalent
- 3 years work experience in a related sales position
- Clear security and criminal record check
- Must have a vehicle and valid G license.
