Employment Training Officer

Position: Employment Training Officer
Location: Fredericton New Brunswick 
Salary: $40,000 to $43,000 based on experience
Employment type: Permanent 
Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities:
•    Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of individuals to enhance their employability.
•    Provide guidance and support to participants in accessing education, vocational training, and job placement opportunities.
•    Collaborate with community organizations, employers, and educational institutions to create partnerships and facilitate employment pathways.
•    Conducting information session on the programs/service 
•    Carry out follow up with client after the employment 
•    Maintain accurate records and documentation of program participants and outcomes.

What do you bring to the job
•    Post-secondary education
•    French Bilingual is strongly preferred
•    Customer service orientation and great communication skills
•    Data entry skills along with an aptitude for numbers
•    Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, perspectives, and issues related to employment and training.
•    Experience in delivering training or educational programs, preferably within Indigenous communities.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to cultural sensitivity and respect.
•    Relevant qualifications in education, social work, community development, or a related field are desirable.
