Truck Driver - Hartland, NB

Job Summary
Our client is looking for a temporary Truck Driver for pickup and delivery work in the Hartland, NB area for one month. This is a temporary, one month, sick leave replacement, however, there is always the possibility of extension! As the Truck Driver you would be responsible for loading materials to deliver and make sure everything is in good condition.
Perks and Salary
- $23/hr
- Monday – Friday schedule
- 7:30 am start, 10 – 12 hour shift
- WHMIS and DG Training provided
- Weekly Pay, every Friday!
- Immediate Start
- Temporary work with the possibility of extension
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing shunting duties
- Pickup and delivery of various goods/packages using electric pallet jacks
- Load materials so that all manifest is stowed and secured as per established protocols to eliminate risk of damage in transit
- Inspect vehicles for potential mechanical or safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Input information into the system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents, or violations
- Other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in driving 5-ton vehicles is required
- A clean Drivers Abstract is required
- Clean Criminal Record is required
- Ability to lift in excess 50 lbs throughout your shift
- Sense of urgency and positive attitude with excellent customer service always being at the forefront
- Trustworthy, positive team player
- Reliable and dependable
