Description: One of our clients is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and innovative Strategic Product Manager to join our team. As leaders within the organization, Product Managers play a crucial role in balancing their passion as the voice of the customer with their pragmatic responsibility to make sound business and technology decisions. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of the retail business, a proven track record of delivering customer-centric results, and a natural ability to cultivate trusted relationships with partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap and backlog for your portfolio in collaboration with local and international stakeholders, prioritizing new capabilities based on clear business cases and alignment from stakeholder steering groups and executives.
- Measure the success of completed initiatives to ensure business value realization and optimal utilization of capabilities.
- Actively support the systems and capabilities in your portfolio by incorporating defect fixes, frequently occurring support problems, and efficiency enhancements into your backlog for ongoing optimization.
- Communicate effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders through information sharing, listening sessions, training programs, clear documentation, and strategic vision presentations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on systems within your portfolio, understanding stakeholder usage and providing vision and assistance to teams to maximize capabilities.
- Maintain an agile backlog by defining high-level requirements, building strategy stories, reviewing UX research and designs, and conducting pre-launch demos to ensure alignment with market acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with partners, navigate complex decision-making processes, and influence product strategy.
- Stay updated on industry and omni-channel landscape trends, translating research into actionable recommendations to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Product Manager within the digital eCommerce industry.
- Previous experience working within Digital Marketing, including platforms such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM/Salesforce), Audience Management & Personalization, Digital Flyer, Digital Promotions, Digital Coupons, Mobile Measurement Partners (MMP/Appsflyer), and Consent & Cookie Management Platforms (OneTrust). Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging digital trends is an asset. This role is focused on the digital shopper and how to keep them engaged through digital marketing techniques to continue to shop online, including marketing emails, push notifications via app, in-app messages, etc.
- Proficiency in Agile product management frameworks and the ability to build stories and manage an agile backlog.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of user experience and user-centered design principles.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing platform products from concept to market.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. This role will work with the tech team to ensure they are in place to support the initiatives needed to personalize the offerings across the platform.
