Harbour is a church that is committed to sharing the gospel, making disciples, planting churches and building leaders. We are a healthy and growing church with strong and thriving discipleship groups. Located in St.Catharines, Ontario, Harbour is in the heart of the Niagara Region. In Niagara there are 400,000 people far from God. Believing that the harvest is plentiful, our church lives on mission to reach our community. We are boldly sharing Jesus in our community and by God's grace have started 3 churches in the last 5 years. In the midst of all that God is doing, we read Acts 14:22 "strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith..." and as we remain obedient to the command to make disciples of all nations, God is opening doors for us to partner with people, organizations and churches all across Ontario to build His kingdom.
Harbour has run a Summer Ministry Internship Program for the past 9 years. We are dedicated to investing in the lives of the students, giving them a summer experience that cultivates skills that will last a lifetime. There are several full time Summer Ministry Intern-Camp positions available and they run 8-12 weeks
Responsibilities:
Teaching: Lead groups of kids and youth based on curriculum material.
Team Leadership: Lead volunteer teams in various programs and activities providing guidance
and supervision.
Collaboration: Work alongside other staff and interns in a team setting.
Curriculum Implementation: Work with our summer camp curriculum to create excellent daily programming for summer camps. This will include various elements from interactive activities, crafts, outings other creative elements.
Event Planning: Develop and lead special events for kids and youth along with the Family Ministry team that promote community outreach.
Administration: Oversee camp registration, payments, volunteer communication, and website updates.
Care: Provide care and leadership to children and students when needed, and under guidance of Family Ministry staff.
Special Needs: Work with the Family Ministry staff to provide extra support for students and kids with special needs.
Social Media: Provide support and monitoring of our social media profiles and platforms.
Sunday Morning: Participate in elements of the Sunday morning services as needed.
