Steele Auto Group is seeking an Immigration and Settlement Specialist to join our Head Office Team!
As the Immigration and Settlement Specialist, you'll lead the recruitment, placement, and onboarding of non-Canadian candidates, aiding them with applications like AIP, PR, and LMIA. Keeping current with Canadian Immigration laws, especially in the Atlantic provinces, is crucial for success. You'll craft recruiting strategies, blending traditional and innovative approaches to meet business needs and industry trends. Annual Wage Range : $60,000 - $70,000 + Performance Bonus
This role offers a Hybrid work model.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with management to identify personnel needs, define job specifications, outline job duties, and specify qualifications and skills required
- Stay updated on Pay Equity, human rights, and employment standards guidelines and laws
- Communicate with candidates to understand their immigration requirements and assist them in completing and submitting the necessary documents, while also reviewing the documents prior to submission
- Work in collaboration with an immigration consultant as required
- Monitor the status of all immigration applications within the company and ensure that all required supporting documentation for immigration, work permits, and permanent residency applications is requested and maintained
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees to source potential candidates
- Continuously develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need and research and recommend new sources for candidate recruiting
- Identify and document ideal candidate sources, maintain regular contact with potential future candidates, and schedule and conduct competency-based interviews for applicants
- Refer candidates for additional interviews within the organization as required by management and perform any other special projects as assigned
- Other Duties as Required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of Immigration recruitment and settlement experience
- RCIC license (in good standing with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council) highly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian immigration policies and regulations & the various pathways for immigration to Canada is mandatory.
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees
- Excellent in all MS Office (focus on Excel and PP)
- Outstanding interviewing and presentation skills
- Ability to Travel
