The Ideal Candidate Our dream candidate? Well, they have it all: drive, initiative, creativity, boundless energy, and an analytical approach that is nothing short of legendary. Reporting directly to the Manager of Human Resources, the HR Analyst is the Rock Star who will serves as a technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. This position will also support HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. A key activity with be gathering data and creating dashboards and metrics for measurable site HR KPI’s.
Your Stage, Your Rules This is not your average desk job; it is a hands-on role that will keep the Ottawa property staffed to perfection. We are counting on you to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. This position assists with building project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning.
DATA
- Support any monthly projects including union pay raises and maintaining seniority lists, benefits and merit data
- Responsible for database and accurate records for training administration, workforce development, succession planning, tuition reimbursement and any other data
- Responsible with functional users and IT in the review, testing and implementation of HR system upgrades or patches
- Collaborates for updating and maintaining all employee systems, including VR, Infinium / Workday and filing system
- Maintains and updates employee data within Infinium and ensures integrity and accuracy.
METRICS
- Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing user needs as requested by team or VP of HR

- Collaborate with the HR Team on best practices for any data needed for reporting
- Create metrics for HR which can include dashboards (tableau or other tools as required)as requested by VP of HR
- Track new hire registrations for AGCO and Smart Serve certifications
TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTATION
- Lead in all audit processes (AGCO, Quarterly compliance)
- Research and resolve HRIS Support Request submitted and recommend solutions or alternate methods to resolve open issues.
- Support the HR Advisor and HR Manager in collaboration with payroll department to identify and resolve any pay issues and non-authorized reports
- Complete Mass Upload on a biweekly basis
- Write, maintain and support Q&A reports or Infinium / Workday queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and support process improvements for employees regarding pension, benefits and other HR areas that may arise
- Support HR Advisor and HR Manager in Leave and Disability Management and WSIB reports and reporting.
ADMINISTRATION
- Support engagement initiatives as needed that would include tracking and metrics
- Support with HR Coordinator tasks as needed
- Interact with management and Team Members of all departments, embodying and encouraging a positive work attitude and assessing and assisting with Human Resources needs across all departments
- Operate ethically to protect the image of Hard Rock.
- Required to work an HR late Rotation as required.

Experiences, Education, and Certifications
- Rock a minimum of three to five years of HRIS, HR generalist, Supervisor or specialist experience (we are not counting, but we are listening).
- 1 - 2 years of project management experience, to include systems implementation.
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, HR Data Analytics or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Having a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is like having an all-access pass - strongly preferred.
- Change is our middle name, so dealing with organizational culture changes is your jam.
- Don't forget your backstage pass: Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
