Job description
The MJDFB is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization through its next phase of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the challenges related to food insecurity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with our diverse team. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the food bank, developing strategic initiatives to enhance our services, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, donors, and the community at large. This person will lead at a time of restructuring that requires more hands-on attention and direct management responsibilities. As the organization grows, these responsibilities will be delegated to additional staff members.
Core Responsibilities: Leadership, Strategic Growth, Board Engagement, Team Building. Program Development, Fundraising and Partnerships, Community Engagement, Financial Management, Operations Stewardship. Education/Experience: 5 or more years of proven leadership experience in a nonprofit or community-based organization. Experience working with a Board of Directors in a Carver-based policy governance framework. Demonstrated success in fundraising and building partnerships with diverse stakeholders. Experience managing direct reports and staff teams. A relevant bachelors degree. Candidates with graduate level education will be preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: High leadership capacity with the ability to scale existing systems, teams, and infrastructure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to cast vision, build consensus, and implement strategy by empowering others. Strong administrative competency and financial acumen. Can cultivate and maintain a variety of professional relationships.Job tags
