Weekend Terminal Operations Manager , Moncton
We are currently hiring a Weekend Terminal Operations Manager in Moncton , New -Brunswick , to safely and effectively manage the Moncton Terminal operation , ensuring optimal conditions are maintained to meet key performance indicators (People, Quality, Service, Cost) through effective planning and execution, both long-term and day-to-day .
Through effective leadership and a hands-on management approach, this role will drive terminal performance to meet objectives , and foster employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise the Moncton T erminal's weekend operational duties and staff (689 Edin burgh and 350 English ) ensuring that performance, quality, and service standards are met .
Ensure all trucks/trailers are loaded in a timely and accurate manner to meet specific terminal load cut-offs and customer requirements.
Oversee equipment coordination based on requirements across the various divisions .
Conduct formal dock/ warehouse tours to ensure teams are compliant with operational safety guidelines and monitor productivity stats about volume, planning and adjusting as needed.
Work with the Termi nal Business Manager to forecast equipment and staffing needs based on volumes and customer forecasts.
Attend any pre-planned meetings and events ( i.e. hand-off meetings, daily review s , safety meetings, employee events, etc.).
Prepare reports as necessary relating to performance, customers, labor management, and employees.

Computer literacy and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office are required .
Experience and understanding of the TruckMate system is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
Shift will be Thursday to Sunday (8am-8pm; may vary as required )
Fast-paced terminal/office environment.
Ability to work variable shifts when required (days, nights, weekends, holidays) and longer shifts to cover gaps.
A high volume of communication via email and phone.
Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years' experience in the transportation and logistics industry or a related field, or a combination of relevant work experience and education. For example, CITT Supply Chain and Logistics Certification, or other relevant college degree or industry certification.
Minimum two (2) years' experience in a supervisor y role.
Knowledge of the transportation industry, including Atlantic Canadian geography and travel times, is considered an asset.
