Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated senior project manager to market and manage a variety of water treatment projects and to assist with serving our municipal, provincial and other clients in the Vancouver area and surrounding geographies. 

This position will be required to plan and oversee the development of planning/study documents, preliminary designs, detailed designs, plan reviews, and engineering services during construction. Each day the successful candidate will be an important team member as they participate in the management of design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. This position will need to work independently on a wide-variety of tasks with peers throughout the company. 

The candidate must be a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with in our diverse and fast-paced work environment. Candidates should be detail oriented, quality driven and team-focused. 

Our Senior Project Managers:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for our clients and deliver the projects to achieve client satisfaction on your projects.
• Lead project teams on the design, delivery and oversight of water treatment plant projects. 
• Manage project scope and budget.
• Prepare detailed scopes, milestone and schedules, staffing schedules, and staff-hour estimates.
• Supervise, train, and mentor less experienced project managers, engineers and designers. 
• Oversee the preparation of models, engineering specifications, drawings and calculations in support of engineering activities. 
• Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals. 
• Oversee the preparation of planning documents, reports, studies, and calculations. 
• Guide the evaluation and decision process with the client.
• Participate in construction support activities including construction management, review of submittals, responding to contractor questions, site visits, and startup and commissioning.
• Participate in the preparation of proposals, scopes and budgets.
• Assist with sales activities and help identify and develop new business opportunities.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Fifteen (15) years of experience leading and managing project teams on engineering consulting projects
• Experience working with municipal and provincial clients in engineering roles
• Licensed professional engineer

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Experience in serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including water for planning, consulting, design and construction services
• Extensive experience developing strong client relationships to market and deliver solutions that meet our client’s needs
• Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams

The base salary range for this position is $149,600 to $ $196,350. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
