Job description
Our client in the metal industry is seeking a licensed Millwright . This role will primarily be responsible for ensuring the ongoing operation of production equipment and will replace, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a permanent basis. This is a permanent role based in Brampton, ON.
Location: Brampton, ON
Salary: $75000 - $85000
Hours of Work: 12-hour Shift with day (7 am to 7 pm) & night (7 pm to 7 am) rotation every two weeks
Full Time, Permanent with benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond quickly to breakdowns and safety concerns, resolve issues and reduce any possible downtime to a minimum.
Monitor operations through preventative maintenance checks to anticipate and prevent any possible production loss due to equipment failure.
Troubleshoot all plant equipment and make repairs to pneumatics, hydraulic and mechanical equipment as required.
Provide general support to production through maintenance of plant equipment.
Safely rigging and moving heavy equipment components and/or other materials.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid 433A Industrial Millwright license.
Previous maintenance experience within an Aluminum/Hot Metal industry is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment within a challenging, steady paced production environment.
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical power transmission, and natural gas systems.
Experience maintaining, rigging, operating overhead cranes, and performing inspections.
Previous experience working with minimal supervision when required.
Comfortable working in a heavy industry environment.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
