Job Title:     Occupational Therapists

Programs :  PCMP, OR2, ECAT, COT, PTSD

Hours : Part Time to Full Time

Location : Surrey, Richmond, Abbotsford, North Vancouver and Vancouver

PCMP Job Summary: 

Clinical duties include evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services for clients who have sustained concussion, head injury, and/or mental health conditions. The goal of rehabilitation is to support clients return to work through in clinic and workplace interventions. The position involves cognitive assessment and intervention to address memory and attention deficits, functional assessment, graded work simulation programs, group and individualized education, goal setting, liaison with employers , clients, and referral sources, return to work planning and monitoring, and job site visits/job coaching.

ECAT Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist for our  Early Concussion Assessment and Treatment (ECAT),  you will provide: evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services for clients who have sustained a variety of work-related injuries and conditions; support clients return to work through in clinic and workplace interventions; functional assessment; graded work simulation programs; group and individualized education; goal setting; liaison with employers , clients, and referral sources;  return to work planning and monitoring; and job site visits/job coaching; You will work in a team that includes Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Counselors, Physicians, Kinesiologists, and Case Managers. You will have at least one year of experience directly related to the treatment of concussion and disability management and completed a concussion management course within the last three years would be highly preferred.

Community OT Job Summary:

Community OTs will meet with Clients virtually, in the community, or in their homes; work in the areas of physical health, brain injury and mental health; complete assessments, report writing, hospital discharge plans, home assessments, vehicle assessments and case management Your team is in the community – you will consult and work with other health care providers to coordinate care for your Client.  The Back in Motion team will provide you with all of the training, mentorship, administration and health and safety support you need to be successful in your role. Your experience working with insurance payers or WorkSafeBC will be an asset, although we will provide training for those new to a third party setting. 

Intensive Interdisciplinary Return to Work Focused - PTSD program Job Summary

OTs in this program work closely with our Psychologists to facilitate recovery and return to work for Clients diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), such as first responders, corrections officers, health care workers, and other individuals struggling after being exposed to traumatic events through work and provide high intensity intervention with the Team Psychologist over 12 weeks, followed by a supported gradual return to work plan. OTs with a passion for mental health, teamwork and meaningful outcomes will thrive in this unique role.  If you prefer higher intensity interventions, lower caseloads, a close knit team environment, a combination of clinic-based and community work, and the challenges and rewards of helping Clients to return to work and life activities, then this is a great opportunity.  In this role you may choose a flexible schedule and have an option to complete many work tasks from home.

OR2/ASTD Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist for our Occupational Rehabilitation 2 (OR2), ASTD, you will provide evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services for clients who have a variety of work-related injuries and musculo-skeletal conditions; return to work support through clinic and workplace interventions; functional assessments; graded work simulation; education; goal setting; consultation; return to work planning and monitoring; and job site visits
