Position Overview:
This position works under the guidance and supervision of the Supervisor – Service Desk to deliver a variety of day-to-day hardware and software services to the staff and Council members of the City
Responsibilities:
- Installs and configures Windows 10 and various software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe reader etc. on PCs
- Assists with various IT projects such as PC replacement, Office 365 rollout etc
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a 2 year diploma in an IT related discipline
- Minimum of 1 year recent related experience
- Ability to install, support and troubleshoot software programs, servers, network connectivity, printers/copiers and IT hardware
- Experience with installing/setting up computers running Windows 10 operating system using SCCM
- Experience working in an Office 365 environment
- Experience in migrating users/supporting users newly migrated to Office 365
- Ability to support Microsoft operating systems and software, computer networks, VMWare virtualized environments and systems maintenance
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a varied audience
- Ability to interact with a diverse staff complement and external resources
- Above average organizational, communication and analytical skills
- Ability to focus in a busy environment and has above average attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and requires minimal supervision
- Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
