Job description
Our well established client is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join the Vaughan based team as a Project Manager. This is an opportunity to join a company with over 25 years of construction experience. As a key member of the team, you will be committed to ensuring that the Projects you are assigned are completed on time and within budget. Reporting to the Vice President of Construction, you will be responsible for all administrative aspects of overseeing a project. Travel throughout the GTA area will be required.
About the Role
- Work closely with the Owner General, Consultants, Site Staff, Inspectors and Regulatory Agencies to execute the Contract Documents.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Provide direction to team members and distribute workload.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Contract Documents.
- Advise senior management of potential problems or schedule concerns and be proactive in resolving such problems or schedule concerns.
- Prepare monthly applications for payment.
Skills and Experience
- 8 to 10 years experience working as an ICI Project Manager.
- Post-secondary education in a construction related program.
- Gold Seal Certification an asset.
- Experience with the IHSA COR certification program.
- Professional attitude.
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Great attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours as the project schedule demands.
