The School of Social Work invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the Summer 2024 session.

Start Time and Duration: Thursdays, 11:30-2:20pm, starting Thursday June 27 and ending Thursday August 8, 2024.

Delivery: Blended – in person and virtual synchronous

Wage Rate: $8,056.37 (See Schedule “A” of current CUPE 3906 Unit 2 Collective Agreement)


Course Description:

An introduction to social justice responses to trans rights and realities. This course will use lecture, readings, discussion and online opportunities to explore course content.

Required Qualifications:

MSW or MA in related area. Experience facilitating and ability to teach a blended/ in person and on-line course. Substantial social justice experience in trans rights and realities. Knowledge of critical approaches to addressing associated issues. Associated teaching experience in either academic or community-based settings, including in social work/ social service contexts. Commitment to the School’s philosophical approach to social work.
