Job description

The General Manager, Equipment Division, will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Division, ensuring the safe and cost-efficient management of assets, personnel, and facilities. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Asset Management: Accountable for the life-cycle management of equipment, developing a strategic acquisition strategy, and implementing a replacement program.
  2. Budgeting and Planning: Reviewing and developing budgets for equipment overhauls and repairs, providing recommendations for equipment repair, overhaul, lease rent, or purchase.
  3. Personnel Management: Providing clear direction and delegation of authority to Equipment Division personnel, developing and coaching maintenance personnel as needed.
  4. Preventative Maintenance: Ensuring the implementation of preventative maintenance programs, maximizing equipment availabilities and utilization.
  5. Stakeholder Relations: Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and clients.
  6. Compliance: Adhering to and ensuring compliance with all established policies and procedures, as well as provincial and regulatory safety requirements.
