Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalist who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.
Job Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Certified with the Canadian Association of Physicians Assistants
- Current ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification, is an asset
- Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support) Certification, is an asset
- Current PALS Certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification, is an asset
- Maintain membership in good standing on the SHA Practitioner Staff
- Membership and Licensure in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) as a Physician Assistant
- Successful Completion of a recognized accredited Physician Assistant educational Program Bachelor of Health Sciences (Physician Assistant)
- Valid Driver's License
Experience Clinical experience working as a PA in related clinical field is an asset.

Additional Information This position is in Primary Health Care and may provide services to Weyburn General Hospital, Weyburn Long Term Care Sites, Radville, Midale and Fillmore Standby may be required We work together to improve our health and well-being.
