Job description

Our client in Burlington, ON has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEER to join their growing team! This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating in the areas of planning, execution and delivery of complex land and site development projects.

IMPORTANT: Candidate must be within 3 months of obtaining their P.Eng or already have gained their P.Eng.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete the design and drafting of engineering drawings for residential and commercial/industrial site plans and subdivisions, in accordance with applicable municipal specifications and within fixed work-hour budgets.
- Have the ability to design complex storm and sanitary sewer systems, delineate drainage areas, design road and site grading, design water distribution networks, and prepare earth work quantities using Civil 3D software.

- Complete design calculations based on engineering principles, meeting applicable regulatory codes and standards, and convey design information to CAD staff for drafting completion

Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) qualified to practice in Ontario (EIT's will also considered)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Working knowledge of municipal design requirements and processes within the Province of Ontario
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role, working on similar projects
