Job Summary The Office of Commercialization and Industry Engagement (OCIE) works to grow the research enterprise at Dalhousie University by partnering with the private sector and providing excellent customer service to our research community. Principally a business development and customer service organization, we work to assist researchers in structuring and contracting private sector research, creating demand for additional opportunities, commercializing institutionally owned technology and inventions, supporting Dalhousie’s innovation and entrepreneurship strategy, and generating local economic development. Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, Industry Relations (AVP), and working closely with the Managing Director, Research and Innovation in the Office of the Vice President Research and Innovation, the Finance Manager is responsible for all financial activities of the Office of Commercialization and Industry Engagement, including budget development, financial management, reporting, and patent and royalties accounting
Key Responsibilities Note The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines
