The Opportunity:
As the Supply Chain Material Supply Coordinator, for Maple Leaf Foods – 97 Walker Drive location, this incumbent will plan, direct, and control the weekly and monthly forecast production plan, APO order deployment, purchase and confirm raw material, dry ingredients, packaging and vendor contracts in the system, work closely with the Production Planner and supervisors to ensure weekly conformance is maintained, etc.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life: - Responsible for running MRP and converting requisitions into purchase orders.
- Responsible for ensuring sourcing buying team has contracts in the system for offsite inventory.
- Deploy and confirm plan orders in IBP system.
- Ensure weekly production plan is confirmed and executed, maintaining conformance above 95.7% weekly.
- Maintain the APO system ZPOV and ensure orders are not duplicated when transferring to SAP system running MRP.
- Ensure dry ingredients/ raw material are tracked and used before code date, maintaining zero inventory loss/ write-off.
- Ensure PO’s are processed on time in Ariba system, and invoices are paid.
- Follow up with delinquent purchases orders / ETA/ LOT # on packaging.
- Maintain dry ingredients, packaging MOQ for 3PL storage, release on time for production needs.
- Ensure minimum inventory write-off, work with sourcing team to ensure MOQ is place on contracts for items that are being rationalized.
- Place PO based on demands in system, maintain 6-12 of inventory.
- Release frozen meat from storage based on production inventory and 2 weeks forecast, ensure 12 days of tempering schedule of meat.
- Schedule weekly production based on raw material, dry ingredients, and packaging delivery ETA.
- Compile meat request based on C+ 2 forecast and BOM.
- Compile and send beef and RWA for LCF solve.
- Plan fresh meat release and delivery / Fresh meat and plan production based on delivery.
What You’ll Bring: - Certification and knowledge of Supply Chain purchasing environment,
- Strong data entry and computer skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills with deliberate attention to detail
- Excellent comprehension and analytical skills required to gain insights on key shipping metrics
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of floor operations across all shifts
- Knowledge of SAP system is an asset
- Problem solving skills enabling themselves to consider multiple variables and solutions in a time sensitive environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Process thinking-ability to link floor and system processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment (ability to multi-task)
