Financial Analyst in
Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze annual budgets, providing detailed variance analysis.
- Perform monthly profitability analysis and recommend improvement strategies.
- Support financial modeling for unit cost reporting and new Government initiatives.
- Contribute to regular reporting to management and assist in P&L reviews.
- Collaborate with IT for Telecom platform upgrades, conducting cost/benefit analysis.
- Gather project requirements for Government initiatives and contribute to Pricing Methodology.
- Assist in internal reviews for process enhancements and validate SLA achievements.
- Analyze costs for major clients, identifying opportunities for efficiency and savings.
- Support overall financial planning, analysis, and management reporting.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, budget management, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in WMS or equivalent is a plus.
- Familiarity with cost/benefit analysis for technology upgrades.
- Understanding of Pricing Methodology for government clients.
- Knowledge of internal controls and process improvement strategies.
- Experience validating SLA achievements and managing client financial analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CFA, CMA, or CPA are a plus.
Employment Details- Salary: $55k - $65K
- Benefits: 40 hours weekly, Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid
- Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday
