We are looking to strengthen our rapidly growing team with the addition of a Senior Adoption Specialist. This position is part of the Digital Collaboration team that enables and accelerates modern workplace productivity and collaboration adoption, promotes awareness and usage of digital collaboration and productivity apps and provides end-to-end support, through the delivery of modern digital experience across:

• Individual productivity

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Collaboration, the Senior Adoption Specialist plays a lead role, designs and develop the strategy and plan in promoting awareness and usage of Microsoft 365 digital collaboration and productivity solutions, and in adoption of digital workplace technologies to increase workforce digital dexterity, collaboration, and productivity across the Provincial Government, Nova Scotia Health (NSH) and IWK.

This position leads, creates, designs, and executes the strategy and plan for workplace enablement processes, adoption process and leading multi-disciplinary team members focused on ensuring that employees have the motivation, permission, and knowledge to fully exploit and embrace modern technologies.

Primary Accountabilities

The Senior Adoption Specialist is responsible for:

• Lead, design, and develop the strategy and plan to drive the promoting awareness and usage and the adoption of the Microsoft 365 digital collaboration and productivity solutions.

• Lead, design, and execute the strategy and plan for workplace enablement processes, adoption process and leading multi-disciplinary team members focused on ensuring that employees have the motivation, permission, and knowledge to fully exploit and embrace Microsoft 365 technologies.

• Coordinates multi-channel communications campaigns to drive technology promotion and adoption. Facilitates and oversees enablement and awareness events. Oversees the creation, management, and awareness of the centralized repository of technology enablement resources.

• Structure and lead champion and early adopter programs including monitoring of feedback channels and hosting regular meetings of participants.

• Work with Organizational Change Lead and other team members to enable people side of the technology change. Provide specialized expertise on Knowledge and Ability areas of the ADKAR change model.

• Initiate meetings in order to guide and counsel various stakeholders so that they can appropriate the new tools and services to solve ongoing and future challenges.

• Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.

• Guides and informs the development of training programs reconciling usage scenarios.

• Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency.

• Identify performance gaps, and work to develop and recommend the appropriate corrective actions. Evaluates and makes recommendation for continuous improvement for future direction of programs and policies.

Qualifications and Experience

As the Senior Adoption Specialist, you will have a relevant degree and at least six (6) years of relevant and progressive experience. You can demonstrate with evidence your experience with the following.

• Experience of leading a small group toward a common goal.

• Knowledge of designing and having the ability to deliver technical training/course material.

• Ability to create various technical documentation for the purposes of training both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Must be an outstanding communicator, able to listen for verbal and non-verbal cues, with exceptional writing and verbal skills, as well as able to present technical and non-technical information clearly and precisely to diverse groups of people.

• Experience with large-scale organizational service adoption efforts.

• Experience and knowledge of the people side of the technology change and change models such as ADKAR.

• Knowledge of the collaboration and productivity tools available as part of Microsoft 365.

• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.

• Customer-centric, flexible with the ability to meet customer needs, and able to work effectively with many levels of personnel.

• Ability to build rapport, influence others with ease, and establish and manage relationships with all employees.

• Plan and prioritize activities to achieve optimal results in a fast-paced environment.

• Effectively plan program activities and follow through with a schedule to produce quality work within the stipulated timeframe.

Assets

The following would be considered an asset:

• Certifications in Microsoft 365 such as MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, PL-900 Power Platform Fundamentals and Microsoft Service Adoption Specialist would be considered an asset.
